Sumter County includes Bushnell, Center Hill, Coleman, Lake Panasoffkee, Oxford, Sumterville, The Villages, Webster, and Wildwood.

Sumter County is approximately 50 miles northwest of Orlando and approximately 60 miles northeast of Tampa. Sumter County's population is about 100,000 residents with the number growing each day. Thousands of acres of public land host rolling uplands and myriad wetlands, including the Withlacoochee River.

Holly E. Tuxbury founded the Chapter in September 2006.
